“Life with Mr. M.” the comic follows the humorous antics of Mr. M., an intelligent, curious and sometimes quirky boy with Aspergers, who truely lives his authentic self!
The beginnings of the Mr. M. character first appeared as ‘The Boy” in DeMuro’s 2012 children’s book “The Boy who Loved Halloween” and again in 2013 along with the introduction of his friend Bernard who was called “The Fox” in the children’s book “The Boy, the Fox and the Brontosaurus in SNOW”.
The comic strip was inspired by DeMuro’s youngest son, who was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, (a high functioning form of Autism) at the age of 4 in 2012. DeMuro wanted to show a lighter side of the spectrum with her comics and the humor and smiles that children like her son bring to the world they live in.
“Life with Mr. M.” has quickly drawn attention from several publications and is currently published in these magazines.
